Roman Blinds

Roman blinds are a great alternative to curtains, to provide an understated elegance. They are a flat panel of fabric, which when drawn up, fold into soft pleats. The blind is supported by rods placed in pockets from the back of the blind to keep the folds crisp. The blind can be placed in the recess or outside the recces depending on your individual windows and is made to measure, we can advise you to which would suit your individual window best. The blind will then have a layer of interlining sandwiched between the main fabric and the lining fabric at the back. This is usually done using a blackout interlining. This provides insulation, blackout effect, and also helps add structure to the blind. My Roman blinds are handmade, so no visible stitching is showing from the front to provide a high-quality result. The blinds are then fitted onto a Roman blind headrail, which is operated by a chain and can be supplied in a variety of colours to complement your interior design scheme.

Wooden Venetian Blinds

These offer a practical solution to bathrooms, where there is poor ventilation. They allow the right amount of light into the bathroom whilst also providing privacy. I always recommend the faux wood collection for these areas. They come in two sizes and a variety of colours and textures. Also, you can have tapes on the blinds to compliment your interior décor.

Pelmets

Pelmets are upholstered boards used to form part of the window treatment. They can conceal fixtures and when paired with curtains or blinds it really adds definition and opulence to your window. I also make boxed pelmets that sit on top of the blind mechanism. These are very popular for places where the blind is outside the recess and you will see the top of the blind for example like at a window on a staircase. These type of pelmets neatly cover the blind mechanism. If you have a blind and you don’t want to see the edge of the blind mechanism I can make small flaps that cover up the side to hide the plastic edge of the mechanism and finish off the blind. These are all handmade to the highest standard and can have trimmings or piping added to the edge. I can guide you through what would be most suitable for your individual scheme.
