Each Roman blind starts with careful fabric selection and measuring to fit the unique dimensions of your window. I meticulously measure to the millimeter to ensure the blind fits perfectly, taking into account any folds and seams that add character to the design.

Next, I hand cut the fabric, ensuring that patterns align seamlessly. Attention to detail is key, especially when working with patterned fabrics, so the final piece looks harmonious from every angle.

Once the fabric is prepped, I sew the blind by hand, taking special care with each seam. The interlining and lining is added, enhancing both the durability and finish of the blind, as well as providing light control and insulation.

A crucial part of a Roman blind’s structure is the rod pockets. These pockets hold thin rods, which help the blind fold evenly as it’s raised, creating those signature clean lines and smooth folds. Each pocket is precisely placed and sewn, guaranteeing the fabric moves effortlessly.

The final touch is attaching the blind to its header rail and adding the cord system, which is designed to lift smoothly with minimal effort. I ensure every cord is balanced, allowing for smooth raising and lowering without unevenness.
